Custom Log Milling — $100/hour

Have logs you'd like milled into usable lumber or live-edge slabs? Kuykendall Contracting offers custom log milling at $100 per hour, with the milling time beginning when we start unloading your logs and ending once your finished lumber or slabs are loaded back onto your trailer.

This hourly rate includes the handling and milling of your logs through the sawmill. Because every log is different, total milling time will vary depending on the size, number, condition, and type of logs being processed, as well as the dimensions and cuts requested.

Important: Metal in Logs

Please let us know if you are aware of any nails, screws, wire, fencing, or other metal that may be embedded in your logs. Hidden metal can damage or destroy sawmill blades.

If metal is encountered and causes blade damage, a $25 blade replacement fee will be added to the milling charge.

If you're unsure whether your logs are suitable for milling, contact us before bringing them in. We're happy to discuss your logs and what you'd like to have milled.
